Four bodies discovered in Southern California home

Authorities have said that four dead bodies were discovered in a Mission Viejo home on Tuesday morning.

According to the Orange County Register, Lt. Jeff Hallock of the Sheriff’s Department said that the responding officers found the bodies of two females and two males in the home around 9:00 a.m.

A neighbor told KABC that a couple and their two children between the ages of 8 and 10 live at the house, however, authorities have not confirmed the ages or identities of the deceased.

Few details about the case have been released and the circumstances surrounding how the victims died is not yet clear.

Emily Osterberg, spokeswoman for the Orange County Sheriff’s Department, said that at this time police are not pursuing any “outstanding suspects” and do not believe that there is a threat to the community.

Homicide detectives were called to the scene and an investigation at the property is still underway.

Mission Viejo is an upscale community located about 50 miles from Los Angeles.
