Starting last week, there have been conflicting reports on the marital status of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West.
We do know that the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star has openly talked about the wedding being in Paris, but reports started surfacing last week that the couple had already obtained a marriage license and they were planning on tying the knot by weeks’ end.
However, they’re both currently in New York City for the Met Gala and not anywhere near France.
Insiders are telling E! Online that reports about North West’s parents obtaining a marriage license, and therefore making them legally married on paper, are “not true.”
Considering French law requires couples to be residents of the country for 40 days or more before they can legally wed, E! reported last week that they will have a civil ceremony in the U.S. before the jet off to Paris to celebrate.
Kardashian and West were spotted scouting venues in recent months, and it’s rumored they’ll either have a ceremony at the Château Louis XIV or the Palace of Versailles.
