Oregon dismisses three basketball players accused of sexual assault

On Friday, University of Oregon president, Michael Gottfredson, announced that the school has dismissed three basketball players who were involved in a rape investigation.

FOX 12 reported that the school dismissed Damyean Dotson, Brandon Austin and Dominic Artis from the program.

ESPN noted that all three athletes were suspended last week after a police report linked them to the investigation.

"They will not be playing basketball at Oregon again," said Gottfredson in a news conference.

According to the police report, the trio allegedly sexually assaulted a female student at a party on March 8. The alleged victim said the basketball players took her into a bathroom and forced her into sex acts even after she repeatedly told them "stop, don't."

Gottfredson said he was outraged by the graphic report.

“I am angry and disappointed," he said. "We would like to say more but we are not going to violate the laws that protect student privacy."

No charges were filed against the players.
