Pitbull sues alcohol company over 'Pit Bull' vodka recipe

Pitbull is suing E. & J. Winery & New Amsterdam Spirits Company for their recent branding choice behind their new vodka and drink, which was titled "The Pit Bull."

TMZ reported that the "Timber" singer filed the suit because of the use of his name, which he had trademarked since 2000 and that also works with Voli vodka to promote his drinks and their products.

The suit claims that the alcohol distributor was using his name in order to sell more product. The drink is made up of two parts New Amsterdam vodka, 1/2 part lime juice, 1/2 part grapefruit juice, and parts lemon/lime soda.

Billboard reported that Pitbull is demanding that the company give him profits that have been made off of the "Pit Bull" cocktail but the company would also have to remove his name from the drink.

Pitbull has said in recent interviews that he entered into the alcohol sector because it is an area of business that everyone wants to be involved in.

Pitbull is currently on the charts with his hit "Timber" which features Kesha and he just released the new anthem for the upcoming World Cup theme, "We Are One."
