'The Voice' finalists announced; Jake Worthington, Christina Grimmie and Josh Kaufman

Tonight the finalist were announced on NBC’s The Voice. The show did not waste anytime announcing that Jake Worthington had advanced as the first finalist for this season’s competition. With that announcement it left, Kat Perkins, Christina Grimmie, Kristen Merlin and Josh Kaufman as the final four. Only three vocalists can advance to the finale.

Before more results were announced a member from Team Christina, Jacquie Lee, returned to perform her newest single, “The Broken Ones." After Lee finished her performance she went into the Sprint lounge with Carson Daily. As a special surprise, Ed Sheeran announced that he would be performing on next week’s finale; he also shocked Lee who is a huge Sheeran fan.

Will Champlin followed Lee on the Voice stage next to perform his latest single, “Eye of the Pyramid.” Following an interview with Champlin, in which he discussed his latest album and going out on the Voice tour. It was announced that Josh Kaufman was the next finalist representing Team Usher.

Before the bottom three entered into the “Instant Save” round Tessanne Chin, last season’s winner of The Voice returned to perform her latest single, “Everything Reminds Me Of You.”

Kicking off the “Instant Save” portion of the show was Kristen Merlin who sang, “Blown Away,” by Carrie Underwood. Kat Perkins took the stage next to perform another Carrie Underwood song, “Good Girl.” The last vocalist to sing for her life was Christina Grimmie who sang, “Apologize” by One Republic.

In the end, the last finalist to advance was Christina Grimmie from team Adam. Sending home Kristen Merlin and Kat Perkins.

The finale will start Monday night on NBC.
