'The Voice' top eight result show

After an impressive night of performances from the top eight, the results were announced on who would advance to the semi-finals. Without wasting any time after an impressive opening number from Kat Perkins, Jake Worthington, Audra McLaughlin and Kristen Merlin, it was announced who was the first artist that America saved.

Moving forward to the semi-finals was Josh Kaufman from Team Usher. Kaufman is the only remaining team member of Team Usher. The next vocalist to advance was Kristen Merlin from Team Shakira.

Following a heartfelt montage about how the coaches and the vocalist appreciate their mothers, it was announced that from Team Adam, Christina Grimmie would advance to the semi-finals.

Before additional results could be announced, Devlin Choice, Josh Kaufman, Sisuandra Lewis and Christina Grimmie all took the stage for a one of a kind performance.

The final artist to be saved before the “instant save” round took place was Jake Worthington from Team Blake. Now the remaining artists had to sing for a chance to advance. Kicking off the “instant save” segment was Team Blake’s Sisuandra Lewis performing “(You Make Me Feel) Like a Natural Woman.”

Audra McLaughlin took the stage next and put her own spin on The Band Perry’s “DONE.” Next up was Kat Perkins who performed “Barracuda.” The final artist to take the stage for a last chance performance was Delvin Choice. Choice put his own unique spin on Bruno Mar’s “Young Girls.”

After the “instant save” window had closed, it was announced that Kat Perkins would advance to the semi-finals. This sent home Delvin Choice, Sisuandra Lewis and Audra McLaughlin.

The semi-finals will start with performances Monday night on NBC.
