TV Ratings: 'Maya Rudolph Show' debuts strong, 'The Bachelorette' premieres flat

The Maya Rudolph Show one-episode special earned decent numbers on Monday in the ratings, while The Bachelorette started off about even with last year.

NBC easily took the night thanks to a steady episode of The Voice. The network averaged a 2.8 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 10.1 million viewers, reports HitFix. Voice pulled in a 3.1 in the key demo, while the Rudolph Show managed a 2.2 rating - which could be decent enough to convince NBC to give the variety program a season run.

ABC was a distant second with a 2.2 rating in the demo, but had the stronger overall average audience of 11 million viewers. Dancing With the Stars ticked up to a 2.5 in the demo, while The Bachelorette got off to an middling start with a 1.9 in the demo.

With a 1.6 rating in the 18-49 demo and 5.83 million viewers, Fox took third place. Bones closed out the season with a consistent 1.6 rating and 24: Live Another Day continued to fall, now down to a 1.7 rating in the demo, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

CBS took in a 1.5 rating in the demo and 5.76 million viewers. The cancelled Friends With Better Lives was even at a 1.6 demo rating and Mike & Molly held steady with a 1.9 rating.
