Channing Tatum, Tilda Swinton & Ralph Fiennes joining George Clooney in Coens' 'Hail Caesar!'

Joel and Ethan Coen certainly know how to stack their deck when putting together a new film. The Oscar winning brothers are gathering more A-list talent to join Hail Caesar!, which already stars Josh Brolin and George Clooney.

Hail Caesar! is coming together quickly after it got an all-new plot in May that refocused the story on 1950s Hollywood, rather than the silent days. The project will now center on the stories about how the studios kept their stars’ squeaky clean public profiles.

Just weeks later, Clooney officially committed to the project and Brolin also joined. Universal also won the worldwide distribution rights.

Now, Variety is reporting that Channing Tatum is in talks to join. The Hollywood Reporter adds that Oscar winner Tilda Swinton and Oscar nominee Ralph Fiennes are also in talks. While Clooney and Brolin have worked with the Coens before, this will be the first film for the trio with the brothers.

There’s no release date set for Hail Caesar! yet. It will be the Coens’ first film since last year’s acclaimed Inside Llewyn Davis, which was released by CBS Films. The duo won Oscars for writing Fargo and producing, directing, writing and editing for No Country For Old Men.
