Jack White offers apology to The Black Keys

Jack White finally has come forward to apologize to The Black Keys for comments he made, in the hopes of starting to put their feud to rest.

Taking to his website, White posted a long apology noting that he isn't interested in being "hounded by nonsense" for the rest of the year as he looks to continue working on music.

He said that the private letters that were made public were simply "very private opinions" of his and were never meant to see the light of day. After noting that, White went on to focus on the apology aspect and wrote: "I wish the band the Black Keys all the success that they can get.

As previously reported, White's views towards the band came to light during a hearing where his wife was seeking a restraining order. He sent her an angry email at one time slamming Dan Auerbach.

He closed out the long letter apologizing to everyone he recently spoke out against in an interview and said, "Good fortune to all of them, and I'm sorry for my statements hurting anyone."

Then in a recent Rolling Stone interview, he noted that he felt that The Black Keys were not much more than rip-offs of his band, The White Stripes.
