Jay Z and Beyonce's 'On the Run' tour on track to become second-highest grossing tour of all time behind U2

Power couple Beyonce and Jay Z’s first-ever joint tour, the On the Run tour, kicks off on Wednesday night in Miami, Fla. and it’s on track to become one of the higest-grossing tours of all time.

Forbes has predicted that the tour will be the second-highest grossing of all time, behind U2’s 360 tour. There are only 20 On the Run tour dates, however, compared to 110 for U2.

It’s expected that the tour will gross $5 million per show, putting them on track to gross $100 million all together.

Blue Ivy’s parents released a star-studded trailer to promote the tour last month, including appearances from Jake Gyllenhaal, Sean Penn, Blake Lively, Emmy Rossum, Don Cheadle, Guillermo Dìaz and sisters Rashida and Kidada Jones.

Some of Beyonce and Jay Z’s joint hits include “’03 Bonnie & Clyde,” “Part II (On The Run),” and most recently “Drunk in Love.”

The tour will hit North American dates until heading to Paris, France in September.
