Kanye West and Annie Leibovitz release joint statement on his comments she 'pulled out' of wedding the day before

Kanye West and famed photographer Annie Leibotvitz have likely had a conversation following his public comments at the 2014 Cannes Lions International Advertising Festival on Tuesday about her bailing out on shooting their wedding in fear of the fame that would come along with it, judging by the joint statement they’ve released on Thursday.

West is retracting his comments that she “pulled out” the day before the wedding, as Leibovitz says “she was never confirmed.”

The statement reads in part, “Although Kanye expressed frustration that he was not able to collaborate with Annie Leibovitz at his recent wedding, he is not assigning blame, and is not accusing Annie in any way. Kanye and Annie's representatives were in negotiations for weeks that were not completed by the time of the wedding.”

It went on to say that West had a grand picture in his mind that Leibovitz would capture his wedding day to Kim Kardashian, with “Ricardo Tisci on the dress, Vanessa Beecroft on the experience, and Andrea Bocelli—Kim's favorite singer,” E! Online reports.

"Picture this. The most-liked Instagram photo of all time, shot by Annie Leibowitz. Oh, I'm sorry for dreaming out loud. Again,” West had to add it to the statement at the end.
