Kevin Smith confirms DC's reported upcoming movie plans through 2018

Last Thursday, a list was leaked onto the Internet reportedly spilling out what Warner Bros. DC projects will be 2018. Since that list was released, nobody from either company has come out to confirm nor deny that those were going to be their priorities for the next couple years.

But, it appears that a middle man will be doing the job for them: filmmaker and podcaster Kevin Smith.

At NikkiFinke.com last week, she reported that the movies that Warner Bros.'s DC schedule went as followed: 2016 would have Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice in May, Shazam in July and Sandman on Christmas. Then, in 2017, there would be a Justice League movie in May, a Wonder Woman movie in July and a Flash/Green Lantern team-up movie on Christmas. Then, in May 2018, there will be a Man of Steel 2.

While he didn't go into specifics, during his recent episode of his podcast Hollywood Babble On, Smith had the following to say about the reported list:

"I'm not allowed to say, but they showed me. I talked a while back about this universe that they are putting together. I looked at [this] list, and yeah, that's what I heard. This is what I was told."

Being good chums with star Ben Affleck (who will play Batman), and being considered one of the most famous comic book geeks in the world, Smith has gotten the opportunity to see some of the behind-the-scenes actions going on with the upcoming Batman v Superman movie, and, apparently, their future plans. He was among the first to see the new Batsuit as well.

In Finke's original report, she stated that DC is planning to formally announce this list at this July's Comic Con, but there is some speculation as to whether they will be announcing all of this, or if this is just their working game plan.
