Malin Akerman, Kellan Lutz set to return for Lisa Kudrow's 'The Comeback'

Two more original cast members, Malin Akerman and Kellan Lutz, are returning to join Lisa Kudrow on HBO's resurrection of The Comeback.

In the Emmy-nominated comedy series Akerman had a regular role as Juna, who was Kudrow's Valerie Cherish's niece, according to Deadline. Lutz had a recurring role as Chris who was working on the 'comeback' series Val was starring on.

Though both will reprise their roles, neither will likely be in all six episodes of the upcoming series where Val is still attempting to make a return to the spotlight.

Since appearing on the HBO show Akerman has been all over the place, including Watchman and also starring in the failed Trophy Wife comedy series. Lutz has since gone on to appear in The Expendables and The Twilight Saga.

In early May, it was reported, that HBO had decided to revive the 2005 series The Comeback for six more episodes. The show originally lasted all of one season before being cancelled due to weak reviews and ratings.

Still, the show became a cult classic and so the network decided to give it another shot. "'The Comeback' holds a special place in the hearts of its many fans, including many of us here at HBO," programming president Michael Lombardo said. "I can't wait to find out what Valerie's been up to since we last met."
