'Think Like a Man Too earns $12.2 million Friday, dominating 'Jersey Boys' $4.5 million

Kevin Hart will likely top the box office yet again in 2014 after Think Like a Man Too easily rose above all other fare on Friday at the box office.

Sony's sequel to the ensemble comedy Think Like a Man grossed $12.2 million on Friday, which is about even with how the first film started at the box office. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the comedy is projected to earn close to $32 million, which would be just behind the original film's first weekend gross.

The other new wide release of the weekend, Jersey Boys, did not do so well on Friday. The latest film from Clint Eastwood in the director's chair earned only $4.5 million, which definitely won't be good enough to place all that high for the weekend, with strong holdover fare easily out-earning Jersey Boys. The film is projected to earn about $14 million for the weekend.

Last weekend's top film 22 Jump Street, also from Sony, earned $9.4 million on Friday and could potentially hit the $30 million mark for the weekend, reports Forbes. The Jonah Hill-Channing Tatum buddy comedy likely will pass $100 million just with Saturday's grosses.

In third place for Friday was How To Train Your Dragon 2 with $7.6 million. The film is projected to earn $25 million for the weekend, putting the animated sequel close to the $100 million mark for the weekend.

Maleficent rounded out the top five at the box office with $4.1 million, giving the Disney live-action fantasy drama $176 million so far. The film is projected to earn $13 million on the weekend.
