She is married to actor Ben Affleck, who she met on the set of Pearl Harbor, and they have three children together named Violet, Seraphina, and Sam.

Garner plays the love interest, Anna, who is not attracted to him both because of his unattractive features and the fact that he not financially successful. Eventually, Mark figures out he can tell lies. The clip below shows a scene where Anna accepts a call from her mother during a date and reveals what she really thinks of Mark.
