Abrams Artists Agency made an oral agreement with Bagans and his company, Zak Bagans Enterntainment, in 2009. The agency was to receive 10% of Zak Bagans Entertainment's proceedings, as Abrams stated in the lawsuit.

In 2012, the agency made an agreement with The Travel Channel that Bagans and his company would receive $4.5 million dollars over the course of 2 to 3 years. In January of 2014, Abrams Artists Agency terminated one of its employees, which was Bagans' contact for the agency. It was then when Bagans stopped paying the agency and "unilaterally terminated the agency agreement", as stated in the lawsuit.

The agency is asking for their cut of Zak Bagans Entertainments' last payments in the amounts of $108,333 and $120, 833, and anticipated payments of over $2 million.

Bagans' show Ghost Adventures has had vast success, with their Facebook page receiving 2.9 million likes. They are currently airing their 9th season and, despite the lawsuit drama, are still promoting their new episodes, including the Whaley House investigation that comes on tonight.

Zak Bagans has made no outward comment on the matter, but Abrams claims the famous ghost hunter has denied owing the agency any money.
