Adele's '25' release and world tour rumors not true, says music executive

Despite a tweet seeming to confirm Adele’s 25 will come out in 2015, with a world tour to follow, it’s just a rumor.

A tweet from the official Twitter page from the World Music Awards tweeted on Tuesday, “#adele confirms 2015 Tour After The Release Of Her New Album ‘25’!” However, Chairman Martin Mills of Beggars Group, which is the parent company to the Grammy winner’s XL Recordings, has denied there is any truth to the tweet.

Mills told Billboard after that tweet was posted that there is “no truth in this."

The only confirmation we’ve seen is from Adele herself, who tweeted back in May when she turned 26, "Bye bye 25... See you again later in the year x."

Adele released 19 when she was 19 years old back in 2008 and released 21 in 2011, which was the highest-grossing album of 2012. The album won Album of the Year at the Grammys and sold over 10 million copies worldwide.
