Cavaliers now willing to include Andrew Wiggins in trade talks for Kevin Love

The Cleveland Cavaliers are reportedly now willing to include top overall draft pick Andrew Wiggins in any trade talks with the Minnesota Timberwolves for Kevin Love.

Up until now, it was widely believed that the Cavaliers wouldn't trade Wiggins away in order to get Love, but a league source has reportedly told the News-Herald that the Cavs have since changed their mind.

A source said the same thing to USA Today, but noted that a deal isn't close, the Cavs have since become more open-minded about who they would give up in order to try and win now.

Minnesota has seemed to be in a rush to get rid of Love, but since the All-Star power forward has made it clear he won't re-sign at the end of this next season, the team is under pressure to at least get something out of him.

In addition to talking with the Cavs, the Timberwolves are also being wooed by the Golden State Warriors, who might be willing to part with Klay Thompson, though they haven't been too keen before.

So the Cavs must make the choice, do they desperately want to win now or see how Wiggins is during the regular season and look to the future, much like prized free agent pick up LeBron James has noted they should.

Love has averaged 26.1 points and 12.5 rebounds per game during his career, while the sample size for Wiggins is much smaller. The top draft pick has averaged 13.7 points, 1.7 steals and 1.7 blocks during the summer league and has been exciting for fans to watch.
