Maksim Chmerkovskiy leaving 'Dancing with the Stars'

Maksim Chmerkovskiy announced that he is quitting Dancing with the Stars after 14 seasons.

According to UPI, the dancing pro just doesn’t enjoy it as much as he used to and “feels like it’s time.” He sat down with The View to discuss his departure from the hit competition show.

"When I came back, I saw this amazing talent. I looked at it and thought they can do much more and better. I was taking up a huge spot," he said of the first time he left DWTS before season 17 and then returned.

According to Us Magazine, he won his first Mirror Ball trophy with Olympic ice skater Meryl Davis and said he wants her to be the last person he dances with.

Over the course of his 14 seasons, he has danced with a plethora of celebrities that include Brandy, Mel B., Denise Richards, boxer Laila Ali, Tia Carrere, Willa Ford, Debi Mazar, Erin Andrew, Kirstie Alley, Hope Solo, Misty May-Treanor and Melissa Gilbert.
