TV Ratings: Miley Cyrus special stumbles, ‘Reckless’ ticks up

NBC struck out with a Miley Cyrus Bangerz Tour special on Sunday in ratings, while CBS’ new show Reckless ticked upward slightly after last week’s premiere.

ABC took the victory on the night with a weak 1.1 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 4.04 million viewers. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Wipeout fell on the night to a 1.0 rating, while new singing competition Rising Star managed to remain steady with a low 1.2 demo rating.

CBS had the strongest overall audience for the night with 6.14 million viewers, but fell behind ABC with a 1.0 rating in the demo. Big Brother was the top program for the night with an even 1.8 rating, while Reckless managed to tick up, though only to an unimpressive 0.7 demo rating. Unforgettable continues to perform much like its name suggests and drew only a 0.7 in the demo.

With a 0.9 rating in the advertiser-important 18-49 demo and 2.14 million viewers, Fox came in third for the night, HitFix reports. Special Brain Games was largely ignored with a 0.5 demo rating and cartoon repeats following.

NBC could only average a 0.7 rating in the demo and 2.33 million viewers for the night. After two American Ninja repeats, the Miley Cyrus tour special drew only a 0.6 rating. While not at all a decent number, the special did manage to perform strong enough in the women 18-34 demo.
