TV Ratings: 'So You Think You Can Dance' hits series low, 'Extant' slips

So You Think You Can Dance struggled on Wednesday night, while Extant dipped with overall viewers in its second outing.

CBS won the night against little competition, averaging a 1.5 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 6.54 million viewers. Big Brother was even at a 2.0 rating, with Extant following with a 1.5 demo rating, HitFix reports. The demo number was the same as the premiere, but overall viewership slipped a little.

Though the show premiered low with a 1.5 rating, DVR numbers boosted the debut episode to a 2.2 rating and 11.9 million viewers.

NBC followed in a distant second with a 1.1 rating in the demo and 5.55 million viewers. Repeats of America's Got Talent gave way to an even, if not consistently low, 0.8 rating in the 18-49 demo from Taxi Brooklyn, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Struggling on the night, Fox averaged a 1.0 rating and a miserable 3.63 million viewers. The lone original for the night was SYTYCD, which interested few and fell to a new series low with a 1.0 demo rating.

ABC didn't have any better a night with a 0.9 rating and 3.53 million viewers. The network aired mostly repeats, except for Motive, which fell to a 0.7 in the demo for the evening.
