Cincinnati Reds win big against Miami Marlins 7-2

The Cincinnati Reds won a lopsided 7-2 victory over the Miami Marlins in the fina game of their three-game series to avoid the sweep. Devin Mesoraco was magic with the bat, hitting a grand slam and a two-run home run. Mesoraco had 6 RBI

Jonny Cueto (14-6) allowed just two runs on five hits with nine strikeouts in eight innings of work. Cueto won his fourth straight start according to Fox News.

Giancarlo Stanton hit his 29th home run of the season, and Casey McGehee also hit a solo home run, his third of the year, for the Marlins.

Brad Hand (2-4) allowed all seven runs in just 4.2 innings, six of which came on two swings by Mesoraco. Mesoraco hit a grand slam in the fifth after three straight walks by Hand. Hand now has a 4.65 ERA according to NBC Miami.

Stanton nearly had his 30th home run of the season in the eighth inning on a deep fly ball to right that Jay Bruce caught with a leaping grab at the wall.
