Lebron James addresses Cleveland fans at rally, says he's there to stay

Cavaliers fans can sleep better knowing that Lebron James intends to finish out his career in Cleveland. "I don't plan on going nowhere,'' said James In front of 25,000 people at InfoCision Stadium, reports Yahoo!.

While the entire city of Cleveland has been relishing James' return since he announced his decision in a first-person essay published by Sports Illustrated on July 11, they weren't sure just how long James intended to say home. The four-time MVP only signed a two-year contract, which some people saw as a sign that he might weigh his options in the free agent market again. However, James put that idea to rest. ''I don't have the energy to do it again,'' said James in regards to switching teams.

The Cavaliers have agreed in principle with the Timberwolves for a trade that would bring three-time All-Star Kevin Love to Cleveland, which James talked about during a 15 minute interview session. ''I'm going to be very excited to have him,'' James said, who also said Love's high basketball IQ is the main reason he looks forward to playing alongside him again. James and Love were teammates when Team USA won the gold medal at the 2012 Olympics. The Cavaliers are sending the last two first overall picks, Andrew Wiggins and Anthony Bennett, to Minnesota for Love. By rule the trade can not be made until August 23, 30 days after Wiggins signed his rookie contract.

James also spoke about his new head coach David Platt, who will be making his NBA debut this season after having success coaching in the Israeli's top basketball league. James has already studied film of Platt's former teams, and he feels he can make a smooth transition into Platt's offense.

James, now 29, closed the rally by talking about some of the charitable work he has done, and still plans to do for the city of Cleveland, reports Cleveland.com.

While James made it clear that his goal is to win championships, he has never lost site of what really matter. "To know that you can, you know, do things for people, to give them hope, give them inspiration on a day-to-day basis means a lot to me."
