QB Brady Quinn signs with Miami Dolphins

The Miami Dolphins have signed former first round draft pick and quarterback Brady Quinn.

According to ESPN, Quinn worked out for the Dolphins on Monday with a couple of other free agent QB, before signing a contract.

Brady thanked the Dolphins for this opportunity on twitter.

In his career, Quinn is 4-16 as a starter and has thrown just 12 touchdowns compared to 17 interception, along with 3.043 passing yards, according to the AP.

Last season, Quinn was on the Seattle Seahawks, New York Jets and St. Louis Rams rosters, but did not play in any games.

When Quinn was in college at Notre Dame, he set 36 school records and ranked in the top ten in pass attempts, passing yards and touchdown passes in NCAA history. During his senior year, he won the Maxwell Award, the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm award and was a second team AP All-American, according to the Dolphins.

Quinn was the 22nd pick in in the 2007 NFL Draft and was drafted by the Cleveland Browns.

The Dolphins chose Quinn over Rex Grossman and John Skelton. They were also looking at free agents Josh Freeman, Tim Tebow and Seneca Wallace.
