Runaway teen found living in Walmart for two days

A 14-year-old runaway lived in a 24 hour North Texas Walmart store for a couple days before anyone noticed he was there.

Good Morning America noted that Corsicana Police Chief Randy Bratton said Thursday in a statement, that the teenage boy was reported missing late last month while staying with relatives. His parents were out of town when the teen ran away from his aunt’s home. Family members told police that the boy had a history of running away, usually staying in abandoned buildings or wherever he could find.

This time though, the unidentified boy decided to camp out in a Walmart.

KTVT obtained photos of where the child made his quarters and went undetected for days.

The news station reported that the teen created a fort in the middle of the aisles. He gathered a change of clothes and made an opening in the back wall of the drink aisle so he could grab juice. The child also collected a fish from the pet department and created a makeshift bed in his temporary living space.

The boy was eventually discovered and turned over to his relatives. He wasn't in bad condition though as his last hideout had just about everything he needed to survive.
