Top 10 moments in both Jill Dillard and Jessa Duggar's courtships

19 Kids and Counting is a television program on the TLC network about a family who has, you guessed it, 19 kids. Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar live in Arkansas with their children, whose names all begin with the letter J. Their oldest son, Josh, is married to his wife, Anna, and they have three children. Their fourth child, Jill, just got married this past summer to a man named Derick Dillard.

Now another Duggar daughter is set to walk down the aisle. Jessa Duggar, who is the fifth child after Jill, is engaged to Ben Seewald, who she has been courting for eleven months. The couple has been featured on the show with many warm hearted and sweet moments between them. Ben and Jessa are a sweet couple on the show, as well as Jessa’s sister and her new husband, Derick.

In an episode from the show, A Duggar Says Yes, Ben comes to the Duggar home in order to ask Jim Bob and Michelle for their permission to court Jessa. Then, Jessa comes into the room and he asks her to enter a courtship, in which they share a side hug.

In a recent episode, aired before Derick Dillard proposed to Jill Duggar, Michelle put together a surprise for her husband and the courting couples, including Ben and Jessa. They went on a triple date to an etiquette class, where the boys, especially Derick, had to learn how to make a toast and to eat correctly with silverware.

Ben, on the flip side, is very sweet and romantic, and when Jessa tells her mom a story about her response to a romantic gesture, Michelle gives her a suggestion on what she could say. Jill was very eager to meet Derick, who she thought she could be developing feelings for. The two finally met face to face when Jill and her dad went to Nepal in order to meet Derick and see if a courtship would develop.

After talking online and through texts for months, Jill asked Jim Bob if they could go to Nepal in order to meet Derick in person for the first time. After several days of talking and getting to know each other, on the day they left, Derick asked Jill to enter a courtship with him.

In this clip, it is clear to see Derick is in love with Jill and is ready to ask her to marry him, as he prepares for the moment when he will ask her.

1. The Proposal

When Derick proposed, Jill did not see it coming. Accompanied by two of her sisters, Derick took Jill out to lunch and then on a walk through the town. After stopping in front of a gentleman who asked if he could sing a song for them, Jill realizes something is up and Derick proposes. The proposal in the clip comes at around the 30-minute mark.
