Two bodies pulled from river in Pennsylvania after abduction

Authorities said that they found and pulled the bodies of two men from the Schuylkill River in Philadelphia on Wednesday morning.

The Associated Press reported that Chief Inspector Scott Small said that the bodies of the victims were pulled from the water around 4 a.m. on Wednesday.

"Both of the dead bodies had duct tape wrapped around their face. They also both appeared to be bound, their wrists and ankles,” said Small. “They also appeared to be tied or tethered to some piece of debris, some sort of weight used as an anchor to take them under water.”

According to FOX 29, a third male victim, who managed to free himself from restraints, was found along the river bank with stab wounds. He is being treated at a nearby hospital and is listed in stable condition.

Officials are trying to piece together exactly what happened but believe that the three victims were part of a violent abduction.

The 20-year-old surviving victim told officers that he was kidnapped and forced into a van with the two other victims. He said that they were robbed, stabbed, bound and blindfolded before being thrown into the water.

Authorities are continuing to investigate the case.
