World’s smallest woman joins cast of ‘American Horror Story: Freak Show’

Ryan Murphy’s American Horror Story: Freak Show just got a whole lot tinier. Jyoti Amge, the world’s smallest living woman, has officially joined the cast alongside show veterans Jessica Lange, Evan Peters and Sarah Paulson.

According to E! News, show producer Ryan Murphy announced the newest addition to the cast of AHS on Twitter on Tuesday.

Murphy tweeted a photo of Amge and Jessica Lange embracing with the caption, “Jessica and our newest cast member Jyoti Amge...the world's smallest woman.”

Amge, who reportedly hails from India, is 20-years-old and holds the title for being the smallest living woman on Earth. She is mentioned in both the Limca Book of World Records and the Guinness Book of World Records. Amge is 2 feet and .6 inches tall.

She will now add another accomplishment to her list, as she gets to show off her acting chops in the fourth season of FX’s hit suspense drama, American Horror Story. This season is set in the 1950s and follows the members of a creepy circus or freak show based in Florida.

Vocal powerhouse Patti LaBelle has also recently joined the cast.
