Actress Molly Glynn dies in accident

Veteran actress Molly Glynn, who is best known for her role in Chicago Fire died tragically on Saturday following an accident on Friday when a tree fell and struck her.

The 46-year-old actress was enjoying a bike ride with her husband, Joe Foust, when a storm hit. The fast moving winds quickly uprooted a tree and hit Glynn, she was wearing a helmet at the time but it proved to be no match for the tree The Chicago Tribune reports . Foust said that it took about 20 minutes for help to come and he repeatedly tried to call 911 but couldn’t get through because of the weather.
Glynn appeared in numerous roles on both television and in the theater. Glynn even performed at the famous Steppenwolf theater in Chicago, but her most recent role was as an emergency room doctor on NBC’s Chicago Fire reports The New York Daily News .
A give forward campaign in her name was started and it has raised 75,000 in less than one day. Glynn was a native of Chicago and married to Foust for four years. She leaves behind two teenage sons.
