Bill Murray is totally cool with having a female 'Ghostbusters 3'

Bill Murray was asked at the Toronto Film Festival about his thoughts on the rumors of a female Ghostbusters movie and said he found it to be a good idea.

Access Hollywood and Schmoeknows reporter Scott Mantz got a moment at TIFF to speak with the legendary actor as he was promoting his new film St. Vincent and he was naturally asked his opinion on the rumors floating about for the possible third Ghostbusters film.

"It sounds great to me," Murray said. "It sounds as good an idea as any other! There are lots of women that would scare off any kind of vapor! No, it's a grande idea, I don't know who they're talking about, but it's a good idea, I would watch it!"

It has been rumored since early August that Paul Feig could direct the third film and that he would be interested in make it female-fronted.

Murray has been enjoying his time at TIFF and appeared at a Q & A session after a special showing of the original Ghostbusters and after joking he spent the day inside of his room, he revealed he did take in a movie at the film fest, Welcome to Me, which stars Kristen Wiig.

Murray explained he found it to be one of the "strangest movies I've ever seen."

He also said he spent time with director Ivan Reitman, who was also at the Q & A session, at his new restaurant Montecito. Murray complained that he had to pay since he helped build the "damn restaurant" and felt he should have at least pocketed some silverware.
