Justin Bieber's Canada assault case dropped a week after new arrest in home country

Justin Bieber’s assault case stemming from December in Toronto, Canada has been dropped right after he created some new trouble for himself in his native country.

He was charged with criminal assault against his limo driver after an incident after a Toronto Maple Leafs game.

According to TMZ, there was a court date scheduled on Monday in relation to the case but it was unexpectedly dropped, with no reason made public.

However, he’s still not in the clear when it comes to criminal cases in Canada. While he was recently there with on-again girlfriend Selena Gomez, he was arrested for assault and dangerous driving after reportedly crashing his ATV into a van driven by paparazzi. He then proceeded to get into a physical altercation with a paparazzo.

"Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez' peaceful retreat in Stratford this weekend was unfortunately disrupted by the unwelcome presence of paparazzi,” his lawyer said in a statement after the arrest.

He’s currently on probation in Los Angeles for egging his former neighbor’s home and he plead guilty to driving under the influence, reckless driving and resisting arrest in August in relation to his Miami DUI case.
