Unless Post announces the return of Oreo O’s cereal, it will be hard for any food brand to top the news Mars just dropped Thursday.
The company that makes everyone’s favorite candy-covered chocolate said today that it is bringing back our favorite variety. The Crispy M&M’s will live once again!
Seth Klugherz, senior director of M&M’s Chocolate Candies told BuzzFeed that fans of Crispy M&M’s ask the company nearly every day when they will come back. It has actually been missing from U.S. stores since 2005, but anyone who grew up in the early 2000’s have kept the memory alive on the Internet.
Klugherz said it usually takes a year and a half or more to rollout a product, especially one that has been off the shelves for so many years. That means that this plan has been in the works long before Surge’s return was announced last month.
While Coca-Cola will only sell Surge through Amazon, Mars is planning to give Crispy M&M’s a full nationwide return in stores. The candies were also available overseas, so that’s why there’s some listings for them on Amazon. You can actually get a bag now for $12.99 from Germany.
In the meantime, when are Oreo O’s coming back? How about 3D Doritos?
