Tyler Farr, Florida Georgia Line and Jason Aldean arrive in Detroit, MI for Concert for a Cure

The 9th annual Concert for a Cure took place at the Palace of Auburn Hills last night and featured some of the biggest names in country music. Jason Aldean, Florida Georgia Line and Tyler Farr arrived and proved that country music is becoming more mainstream and has made its mark in the Midwest.

Opening the all-star line up was up-and-coming country artist, Tyler Farr. Farr is known for his two chart topping hits, “Whiskey in My Water” and “Redneck Crazy.” Even though he had a shorter set, he showed off his energy and fans were interested in what Farr could bring as a mainstream country artist. The audience sang along and enjoyed the hard-hitting rock infused version of “Redneck Crazy.”

Shortly after Farr left the stage, the excitement started to build for Florida Georgia Line. The lights dimmed and Imagine Dragon’s “Radioactive,” filled the stadium. When Brian Kelley and Tyler Hubbard took the stage, every member of the audience erupted with yelling, cheering and the party quickly got started.

It didn’t take long for the audience to fully transition from concert mode into the full on party atmosphere. Florida Georgia Line has the ability to make their show not only a showcase of their musical talent and ability to write hit song after hit song, but they make the whole concert an experience that brings them closer to fans. The duo never let’s their energy fall and constantly interacts with the fans -- often thanking them for being the best fans in the world.

The duo performed hits like “Round’ Here,” “Get Your Shine On” and an emotional rendition of “Stay.” They also debuted a few new songs that will be featured on their upcoming album Anything Goes. The group played “Anything Goes,” “Sun Daze,” and their latest number one hit, “Dirt.”

Florida Georgia Line proved why they are the one of the most popular country duo’s on the charts today and how they are able to avoid the sophomore curse. They stay true to their country roots and not changing who they are as artists; which is a combination of rock, country, and the never-ending party atmosphere. With their new album dropping Tuesday, fans can plan on more of what they love from country’s most popular and modern duo.

After Florida Georgia Line got the party started, Jason Aldean arrived on stage, complete with fire, smoke and an over the top light show. Aldean proves once again that he is at the top of his game in country music.

The “Night Train” singer had a lot to celebrate this week after the release of his new album, Old Boots, New Dirt and raised over $600,000 for breast cancer awareness for the Susan G. Coleman Foundation.
