Cher has been forced to cancel the remaining tour dates on her Dressed 2 Kill tour as she continues to fight an infection she developed in September.
The 68-year-old singer made the announcement on her website that dates from now until February have been canceled, but fans who purchased tickets will be able to get refunds.
"I am totally devastated. Nothing like this has ever happened to me. I cannot apologize enough to all the fans who bought tickets,” Cher wrote. “I'm so proud of this show. It is my best ever. I sincerely hope that we can come back again next year and finish what we started."
Another statement from organizers say Cher is canceling on doctors’ orders, as her infection has spread to her kidneys. In order to ensure a full recovery, she needs to rest. They did assure that “progress has been consistent.”
Cher, who’s active on Twitter, reiterated her sadness about having to cancel these dates. “I’m SORRY I Couldn’t B the 1 to tell you about postponing my tour. I Tried SO HARD 2b Strong enough, but my Will couldn’t force my Body time,” she tweeted. She also said she’s experiencing “gut wrenching Sadness” over it.
