'Sons of Anarchy' - 'Greensleeves' Recap

So, not only is Juice not dead, he’s being handed back his reaper. The Sons are at the sight where JT had died all those years ago. Juice gets on his bike and rides away, being followed by Rat and Montez in the van. After they’re off, everyone else pays respect to JT before heading back to town.

Juice pulls up to a truck stop where a couple of highway patrol bike cop are parked outside. He pulls out his gun and shoots at the ground near the bikes, causing the cops to drop everything and chase him. Juice is eventually cornered and gives up peacefully. Rat phones back to Tig that everything’s going so far so good.

At RedWoody, Jax discusses that with Juice in jail, they can finally put and end to Lin. He knows that they’re taking a risk, but Chibbs points out that all Juice has is the club, and he’ll do anything (again) to get back in SAMCRO’s good graces. Jax then brings up how he regrets having to go head to head with Marks, but he knew it would have to happen eventually. He knows that Marks can buy all the protection that he needs, so they need to beat him with leverage. That’s where the dead pastor comes in. As the guys leave the table, Unser tells Jax that the cops have Juice in custody after shooting at them. Jax plays dumb, but Unser sees that something is a little fishy.

At the garage, Gemma is given an out by Nero. He tells her that he’s planning on selling his half of Diosa and taking his son and moving to his uncle’s farm. He asks Gemma to come with him, and to bring the boys. Gemma says she can’t just pick up and leave, but that she will think about it.

Jax goes to the dead pastor’s church and finds the stepson and widow there. He tells them that they saw Marks’ men burying the pastor at one of Marks’ construction sites. Jax wants to bring Marks down, but will need their help. He suggests a signed statement stating that Marks forced Lucretia into signing the land deal, and that, coupled with a photo of the dead pastor at the site, should be enough to back Marks off. The pastor’s stepson agrees with this, but points out that someone is blackmailing them with video of the pastor with young boys. Jax says he’ll take care of it, and then offers the cabin so the mother and son can stay out of Marks’ sight.

Jax, Chibbs and Nero find Greensleeves, the pimp blackmailer, after Nero points him out. As Greensleeves is roughing up one of his girls, Jax and Chibbs walk up to him, and Chibbs socks him in the stomach. As a loyal reaction, the other girls jump of Jax and Chibbs so their pimp can get away. Once they settle the girls down, Jax talks with the girl who Greensleeves had been rough with, Winsome. Jax gets the info out of her after offering her a new job, with Nero’s help, at Diosa. Jax and Chibbs go to Greensleeves’ apartment and bust in guns drawn. The pimp grabs a strung out girl as a human shield, but Chibbs shoots him in the shoulder anyway. Jax finds the phone with the video, and then goes to toss the pimp through the window. He doesn’t make it all the way out, but he’s dead nonetheless.

Rat and Happy pull up the garage to collect Gemma to bring to the cabin to help out Lucretia and her drug problem. But, all they say is that Jax wants her at the cabin, so she thinks Juice has told Jax about what really happened with Tara. Gemma is genuinely nervous about going with them, and Unser sees that in Gemma as she gets in the van.

Jax meets with Tyler to give him the statement from Lucretia. He asks Tyler to give it to Marks and for Mars to be at a local park at 6pm that night. The Sons won’t be there, but the Mayans will.

Gemma told Happy that she needed some things from her house first, aka her gun. Before she’s told they need to leave, Wendy comes in with Abel, saying that he was sent home for getting into a fight with another kid. Gemma, with Thomas in her arms, breaks down and starts crying. She tells him that accidents happen and that she just anted to be a good grandmother. Gemma says, out loud, that killing Tara was an accident. Abel is standing in the doorway and hears everything.

While Nero is talking to Alvarez about possibly buying him out of Diosa, because Jax seemingly wouldn’t, Nero gets a call from Wendy about Gemma freaking out about being brought to he cabin. Wendy also calls Unser, who is in the flatbed to help with Jax’s bike after it got run over by Greensleeves. Unser tells Jax that Gemma is freaking out, but Jax is so oblivious that he doesn’t know why, saying maybe it was Happy that did her in. Tig gets a call from Tyler confirming Marks will be at the meeting. Bobby then says he’ll head up the to cabin to calm Gemma down.

When Gemma gets to the cabin, she’s asked by Montez to come into the bedroom. She first goes to the kitchen to “get some water,” but she’s in there to rearrange her gun in her purse so she can have it ready. She gets to the bedroom door and sees Lucretia and her son. She’s confused, but incredibly relieved.

Bobby is on the road up to the cabin when he gets cornered by a couple of cars. He gets run off the road. He survives the crash, but sees a bunch of black guys get out of the cars. He knows they work for Marks.

At the park, Jax waits with the Sons, Alvarez and the Mayans. Marks is a no show. An hour later, a car pulls op and out steps Moses Cartwright, Marks’ head of security and who was also present to run Bobby off the road. He presents Jax with a small box, saying that Marks’ reply to the Sons’ offer is inside. Moses leaves, and Jax opens the box. He pulls out two patches, the “Sons of Anarchy” and “Redwood” off Bobby’s cut. There’s a tablet inside, too, with a video on it. Jax plays the video, and sees Marks’s guys graphically cutting out Bobby’s eye. There’s one more item in the box: a tupperware container with Bobby’s bloody eyeball. The Sons are distraught. Jax walks away in silence.
