Twitter users share snowed in photos on #BuffaloSnow

Throughout the week, citizens of Buffalo, New York have experienced what news sources are calling a Thundersnow storm. This storm has so far claimed the lives of at least 10 people, trapping citizens under 6 feet of snow.

However the Buffalo residents who are held hostage from the storm took to Twitter to post photos of their conditions through hashtag #BuffaloSnow.

With warmer weather approaching the area, there is concern the amount of snow will damage houses and cause floods. Still, the city of Buffalo is prepped with help from Fire Department of New York, who have now deployed 35 IMTs to the area, according to its Twitter.

Many citizens shared with what they were greeted with when they opened their front doors, as shown by Twitter user and Johns Hopkins University professor Louise Schiavone posted on Nov. 19.

Not only were citizens were affected, but their canine companions, as shown in a post by news site Mashable.

Some homes were even damaged already due to the snow, as shown in a post originally posted by PzFeed.

"Dude it's unreal up there in South Buffalo," Twitter user Its_Matty_Ice said in a re-tweet of the photo.

Of course there are those who are making good out of a bad situation, as did Twitter user Michael Ginnitti did by making a beer fridge out of the snow, as other users had done.

And of course with 75 inches worth of snow comes cancellations of sporting events, as did the Buffalo Bills had to do since its stadium was filled with snow. News meteorologist Tim Buckley said along with the photo of the snowed in stadium that the team will play the New York Jets in Detroit, Mich. on Monday.
