Chrissy Teigen and John Legend provide Eric Garner protesters with food trucks

John Legend and his model wife, Chrissy Teigen, supported the Eric Garner protestors in New York City in an unconventional way – providing them with free food trucks.

After a State Island grand jury decided not to indict officer Daniel Pantaleo in the choking death of Garner, protestors have flooded the streets in New York.

To show their support, the “All Of Me” singer and Sport’s Illustrated model provided them with food to fuel them up with more energy, E! Online reports.

One of the food truck vendors, Kimchi Taco, tweeted "So much love for the super generous & thoughtful @chrissyteigen @johnlegend for their support. #BlackLivesMatter Now come get fed!”

Although the couple wasn’t in New York at the time, Teigen tweeted back, “@KimchiTruck @johnlegend wish we could be there!! thank you for being a part of it!”

Teigen also told her Twitter followers “all extra food was donated to the homeless by the trucks themselves.”

The decision not to indict Pantaleo comes on the heels of a grand jury’s decision not to indict officer Darren Wilson in the shooting death of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri, which also sparked several protests throughout the nation.
