Three adults, one child found dead in North Texas home

Police discovered the bodies of four people dead inside a Crowley home on Sunday after responding to a call of a possible attempted suicide.

The Associated Press noted that Crowley Police Chief Luis Soler said a 9-year-old boy called a relative and said that a man inside the home was trying to kill himself.

Reuters noted that following the phone call, the relative called police around 4:15 p.m. Officers then went to that residence and found the bodies of one man, two women and a young girl deceased.

"This is a tragic event that has affected us all and which will have a huge impact on this tight-knit community," Soler said during a news conference Sunday evening.

The surviving child appeared to be unharmed and is being interviewed about the events that took place.

The names of the victims and their cause of death have not yet been released.

Law enforcement has stressed that the incident is thought to be isolated and that there is no threat to the public.

Anyone with information regarding the case is asked to contact police.
