Top 10 Jake Gyllenhaal films

The Golden Globe nominees for 2015 were announced a little over a week ago and one of the nominees for Best Actor in a Motion Picture for the Drama category is actor Jake Gyllenhaal. His nomination is for his recent film Nightcrawler, who finds himself in the world of crime journalism.

Gyllenhaal, most notably known for his role in Brokeback Mountain has had a career full of many different characters, from a boy in a bubble to a cartoonist obsessed with trying to figure out who is behind a series of murders.

Gyllenhaal, whose sister Maggie is also an actress, has worked with plenty of people such as Jennifer Aniston, Michael Pena, and Dustin Hoffman. His acting credits have ranged from happy and warm to darker and sinister characters. Gyllenhaal has been nominated for a previous Golden Globe for best performance in a motion picture, comedy or musical.

This 2005 film starred Gyllenhaal alongside Gwyneth Paltrow and Anthony Hopkins. In the film, Paltrow’s character is reeling from her genius father’s death and Gyllenhaal plays a student who is determined to find out if the notebooks her father left behind will give some insight into his work as a mathematician. This film has gotten good reviews and Gyllenhaal is a great addition to the cast.
