Top 10 'The Voice' season seven moments

The Voice had another powerful, inspiring and amazing season this year. From the blind auditions to the live finale, this show featured the best of the best of vocal talent. This season went to the boys though, Team Adam and Team Blake constantly impressed with their incredible male talent. From Matt McAndrew to Voice winner, Craig Wayne Boyd this season was a season for the guys.

This season also feature two brand new coaches who brought about a new energy and vibe to the show. Pharrell Williams and Gwen Stefani brought their own talent and coaching tactics to help make the show once again feel new.

This season of The Voice featured many big name celebrities and featured these chart topping singers interacting with everyone on the show. When Nick Jonas took the stage to perform his latest single, “Jealous” and had all of the top 8 vocalists singing with him. The interaction was fun and helped to profile Jonas’ new direction in the music industry.

The Voice is becoming a major destination for musicians to perform and Ed Sheeran has been featured on the show as a mentor and his songs have been performed by many different vocalists. When Sheeran returned during the finale to sing, he did a stripped down performance of “Thinking Out Loud” and showed why his music has such a strong impression on the vocalists and why he is a one of the largest names in the music industry to date.

Damien was a stand out performer this season. He was a TSA agent and performed an emotional and powerful version of “Someone Like You” by Adele. It was clear that Damien put everything he had into that performance and left all of his emotion on the stage. Not only did the performance showcase Damien’s vocal range but also showed off what an artist he is. Even though he did not win the whole show, he made a lasting impression.

7. Gwen Stefani, Pharrell Williams, Blake Shelton and Adam Levine

This season featured brand new coaches and created a new dynamic. This season brought together Gwen Stefani, Adam Levine, Blake Shelton and Pharrell Williams. Williams is at the top of his game musically and brought along that insight into his coaching strategy. Stefani added a fun and lighthearted feel to the show and the coaching combination was once again a winning one.

Matt McAndrew left everything he had on the stage during his original song performance with “Wasted Love.” It was clear that McAndrew was a fan favorite because of support online and a strong voting base always putting him through week after week. He had a stand out moment at the right time with this song and showed off what McAndrew could record when he was out of the competition.

5. Chris Jamison-When I Was Your Man

Chris Jamison was a vocalist who quickly became a fan favorite and was one of the most improved from the blind auditions to the finale. Jamison combined his smooth R&B vocal range with popular songs like, “When I Was Your Man” by Bruno Mars. Jamison won over the fans by taking chart topping songs and making them his own.

4. Gwen Stefani and Pharrell-Spark The Fire

The coaches had all performed together during the start of the season but it wasn’t until Stefani and Williams took the stage for their latest single, “Spark The Fire” that the magic was really felt. Williams and Stefani had an undeniable energy on stage and it was clear they are friends on and off the show.

Matt McAndrew had the first major stand out moment on the show when he sang “The Blower’s Daugther.” The song broke into the top five on iTunes and featured McAndrew connecting emotionally to this sincere song. It was this performance that showed that McAndrew was capable of making it to the finale.

2. Taylor Swift

This was the season of Taylor Swift. She was featured as a mentor for all four teams, the week her chart topping album 1989 was released. Swift brought her lovable energy and personality to the show and was able to help contestants as they prepared for their knockout rounds.

1. Craig Wayne Boyd

The finale came down to three members of Team Adam and Craig Wayne Boyd from Team Blake. In a surprising result, Boyd was named the winner of The Voice season seven. Craig Wayne Boyd charmed with his personality and incredible vocal range. He showed his ability to take classic country songs like “Walk The Line” and make them his own and his original song was a hit with country music fans. Boyd joins that of Javier Colon, Jermaine Paul, Cassadee Pope, Danielle Bradbery, Tessanne Chin
and Josh Kaufman, as Voice winners.
