Top 20 hot Jewish celebrities

The Jewish community is well represented across industries, including in the entertainment business. Many of its celebrities in that line of work have something special about them beyond their sheer singing, acting and other creative talents: They are quite attractive. From boy-next-door cuties to flat-out hunks and everything in between, there is no shortage of good-looking Jewish celebrities. This is a list of the top 20.

The poster-boy for Jewish celebrities, Adam Sandler, did not make the list because as great as he is, his peers are just too hot, but he gets an honorable mention spot, along with Ben Stiller. Below are the ones that did make the cut.

Writer's note: To establish clear parameters for the list, only celebrities who reportedly identify as Jewish or were born to two Jewish parents were considered.

20. Jack Antonoff

Musician Jack Antonoff doesn't look like your traditional heartthrob, but his boyish cuteness mixed with his musical skills earn him a spot on this list, because, well, who doesn't like a cute, nice guy who can serenade you? Antonoff earned his fame as the lead guitarist of the indie rock band Fun., most known for their songs "Some Nights" and "We Are Young."

This past fall, Meyers kicked his career up a notch by becoming the host of NBC's nighttime talk show Late Night.

16. Jesse Eisenberg

Nobody works the serious, shy, nerdy-but-cute look quite like Jesse Eisenberg, the actor who burst onto the scene in 2010 with his portrayal of Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg in the website's origin story film The Social Network. Eisenberg, who comes from an Ashkenazi Jewish family of Polish and Russian descent, is a crush-worthy celebrity thanks to his trademark long curls, striking eyes and well-defined facial features.

15. Jon Stewart

Jon Stewart is what one might call a silver fox. Stewart, also a nighttime talk show host (The Daily Show with John Stewart), is in his 50's with grey hair, but he earns a spot on this list because not only is he easy on the eyes in general, but he also has incomparable charisma, charm up to his ears and he is bold, passionate and smart. If that's not hot, what is? Stewart, an Ashkenazi Jew whose birth surname is Leibowitz, just completed a project that demonstrates a whole new side of him: Rosewater, a dramatic biographical film about a real-life Iranian-Canadian journalist who was captured by Iranian forces and brutally interrogated as a suspected spy. Stewart wrote, produced and directed the film, his directorial debut.

13. Andy Cohen

Talk show host and author Andy Cohen is one of the most notably Jewish celebrities out there. Cohen, whose claim to fame is hosting the Bravo network nightly show Watch What Happens: Live and being an executive producer for the Real Housewives franchise, has an adorable boy-next-door look with a touch of George Clooney added in for good measure, making him worthy of being the object of one's affections. Ladies are out of luck though, as Cohen is openly gay, but hey, at least they can still check him out.

12. Gabriel Macht

Gabriel Macht is another actor whose name might not ring any bells for people, but he's been in the business for a couple of decades and has appeared in a number of television shows in that time. The key component of his resume is his starring role on the currently-airing lawyer-themed USA network show Suits, which is now in its fifth season. What makes Macht certifiably hot is his every-man good looks that are accompanied by the subtle layer of somewhat broodiness and mystique which something about his features portrays.

11. Andy Samberg

Andy Samberg is an Ashkenazi Jewish man that can do it all. He can sing, he can do improv, he can act. And on top of that, he is adorable, with his fierce smile and ability to look boyishly charming and sincere at the same time. The funnyman put his name on the map with his work on Saturday Night Live, where he made a special niche for himself with musical digital short videos featuring him and his comedy/band group, Lonely Island, singing original joke songs about absurd topics (often with actual musicians as guests, most famously Justin Timberlake). Samberg recently left SNL to star in a new hit Fox show Brooklyn Nine-Nine and he has a voice role in Hotel Transylvania 2, an animated film due out in 2015.

10. Nev Schulman

Nev Schulman is a man with a mission. His claim to fame is being the host of the reality television show Catfish, in which he introduces real couples who have fallen in love online but not yet met in person, in order to show them whether or not they have been duped by one another. Schulman, a photographer by trade came into his celebrity-inducing job after he was the subject of a documentary by his filmmaker brother in which Nev himself met and fell in love with a girl online, only to eventually find out she wasn't who she claimed to be; his experience was where the idea for the show came from.

Through the show, it's easy to see that Schulman has charisma, resourcefulness and a drive to get results, all attractive qualities. The fact that he happens to also be just downright handsome makes him even more certifiably hot.

9. Paul Rudd

Paul Rudd won hearts and became an instant crush to many with his role as the smart and sweet stepbrother in the iconic 1995 film Clueless. And he pretty much hasn't aged a day since, as he is still just as irresistibly boyishly cute as ever, with his excellent combination of dark hair and blue eyes and playful smile. Rudd went on to win more hearts with a recurring role in the beloved show Friends and has appeared in several hit movies, among other projects. In 2015 Rudd will get even more appealing, as he takes on the role of a hero in Marvel's next new franchise-bound film, Ant Man.

8. Josh Radnor

Josh Radnor, born to two Jewish parents, appeared on a number of television shows in the early 2000s, but it was his breakout starring role on the hit show How I Met Your Mother (which ran from 2005-14), that made him a celebrity. Radnor portrayed a kind and smart hopeless romantic determined to find real love—the kind of guy every girl wants to end up with. If that wasn't enough to make him crush-worthy, his real-life looks are. With his distinguished features and sincere smile, he is a sort of sophisticated hot that puts him in the top ten.

7. Skylar Astin

Skylar Astin burst onto the scene with his role in the surprise hit comedy film Pitch Perfect, charming audiences as the fun-loving, loyal member of a college boys' acapella group trying to woo his female counterpart (Anna Kendrick). Astin's character succeeded, just as Astin himself succeeded in winning fans thanks to his talent and good looks. The actor, who was reportedly raised Jewish in Rockland County, New York, has a face that is somehow a mix of boy-next-door and big-man-on-campus—a surefire winning combination when it comes to physical appearance.

6. Max Greenfield

Max Greenfield pretty much makes the show New Girl with his stand out portrayal of the nutty but lovable roommate Schmidt. Not only does he have undeniable comedic acting chops, he's also quite easy on the eyes with his chiseled jaw line, bright smile and deep-set eyes—oh and let's not forget about the body, specifically his abs. Before New Girl Greenfield had recurring roles on multiple other hit—albeit short-lived—shows, including Veronica Mars, Greek and Ugly Betty. One more thing: He has nice abs.

5. Andrew Garfield

Andrew Garfield has a lot going for him in the physical appearance department. He has awesome hair, deep, brown eyes and a tan complexion that gives him a bit of an exotic appeal. He has a broody kind of artsy-hot look about him.

The crush-worthy actor first drew attention to himself with a role in the Facebook origin story film The Social Network, and then truly put himself on the map by taking on the role of Spider-Man in the latest film franchise reboot of the comic book hero story. Garfield will appear in other films coming out soon and is supposedly reprising his star-making role in The Amazing Spider-Man 3, due in 2018, according to IMDB.com.

4. Logan Lerman

Logan Lerman had a recurring role on the short-lived 2004 show Mark and Bobby and appeared in other films and shows, but it was his starring role in the book-to-movie franchise film Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief that made him a recognizable face. And it's a very nice face at that. With his dark hair and striking blue-green eyes Lerman's looks make him a definite heartthrob, and the young actor is sure to become even more so as he gets older and his career progresses.

3. Bryan Greenberg

Bryan Greenberg might not be well-known by name, but he's certainly worth remembering, at the very least, for his good looks. He is the hotter version of the best friend you fall in love with without realizing. He's got the hunky boy next door look down perfect: a solid build with a friendly and comforting face. There's a sincerity in his smile and deep, brown eyes you can't help but adore.

The actor had a several television roles before landing a memorable recurring one in One Tree Hill, where his looks matched the persona of the character he played to a T. He then went on to star in the show October Road. The show didn't last long, but he has since stayed busy and has multiple projects currently in the works.

2. Justin Bartha

Justin is kind of like the slightly older Logan Lerman. He, too, has a winning combination of dark hair and light eye color—a piercing blue. But his chiseled features and deep-set eyes give him a very distinct look that puts him higher up on the list. The Jewish hottie had his first role in a big film as the snarky sidekick to Nicolas Cage's character in National Treasure, before co-starring in the blockbuster buddy comedy hit The Hangover.

1. Adam Brody

There's not much description to be given to explain what makes Adam Brody so cute. He's got a great smile and a very distinct jaw-line, but beyond that the only way to say it is... he just is. His look could possibly be described as hipster, or dorky or it could be boy-next-door. He could go either way, but the bottom line is, he is just one attractive guy.

Brody was all over television in his early career, including a recurring gig on Gilmore Girls, but what made him a heartthrob- what really brought his gorgeous image into people's homes was his role as the motor-mouthed, always amusing, ultra-nerd Seth Cohen on The O.C. The show has long been over but Brody has stayed in the business and will next appear in a 2015 comedy film.
