'Bachelorette' couple Desiree Hartsock and Chris Siegfried tie the knot

Former Bachelorette star Desiree Hartsock, who got engaged to Chris Siegfried on the finale, is now a married woman.

Hartsock and Siegfried tied the knot less than two years after the show aired in a private ceremony in California on Sunday.

E! Online reports Hartsock wore a Maggie Sottero dress on their big day.

"They were so excited to get married. They didn't want to wait another day," a source said. "When Chris first saw Des walking down the aisle he was amazed at how beautiful she was. The ceremony was very emotional and sweet. They kept it very short and they walked out holding hands and kissing."

The newlyweds got engaged on the 9th season finale of The Bachelorette. Since then, they’ve maintained a low-key relationship away from the cameras so it's no surprise they opted out of getting married on an ABC special.

She told Ryan Seacrest recently, “I know Chris and I are going to last and I know we're going to get married and have a future,” adding, “I feel our relationship started very naturally, and to be honest, we are each other's best friends. I truly believe, regardless of the show, or if we met at a coffee shop, we'd still be together."

Their wedding comes on the heels of fellow Bachelorette couple, Andi Dorfman and Josh Murray, announcing their split.
