Bono might not be able to play guitar again following bike accident

U2's frontman, Bono, might not be able to play guitar again due to a recent bicycle accident in New York City. The accident took place in Central Park back in November and resulted in hours of surgeries.

The Associated Press reported that Bono suffered several injuries from the accident including fractures to his left eye socket. He also injured his shoulder and his left elbow.

U2posted on their website a message from Bono. He said "recovery has been more difficult than I thought. As I write this, it is not clear that I will ever play guitar again."

The post went on to say that Bono has the support of his band mates, The Edge, Adam Clayton and Larry Mullen, and that they are reminding him that even if he cannot play guitar, that Western civilization is not depending on this.

U2 is going on tour in May and Bono expressed that he is focusing preparing for that and regaining his mobility.
