'Harry Potter' actor Robbie Coltrane hospitalized after flight

After becoming sick on a flight and being forced to get off, Robbie Coltrane is now in the hospital.

According to TMZ, the Harry Potter star - best known for playing the loveable Rubeus Hagrid – became ill while on a British Airways flight out of London heading to Orlando on Thursday.

The site says he was suffering from flu-like symptoms and was immediately taken to the hospital.

Coltrane was heading to Florida to visit a convention completely dedicated the beloved movie and TMZ says that Michael Gambon – known for his role as Dumbledore – was on the same flight.

His agent told BBC News in a statement that the actor was “resting” and would be “fine.”

However, sources at the airport say that Coltrane was spotted drinking heavily prior to his flight leaving people wondering if that helped induce his illness.
