High-profile attorney Alan Dershowitz files defamation suit, denies sex abuse claims

High-profile attorney Alan Dershowitz has filed a defamation lawsuit in an effort to clear his name after allegations surfaced that he and England’s Prince Andrew had sex with an underage girl.

The Daily Mail noted that Virginia Roberts, now 30, claims she was forced to have sex with Dershowitz and the Duke of York when she was just 17. Buckingham Palace has vehemently denied the allegations as did Dershowitz when he appeared on the Today Show Monday.

The 76-year-old lawyer, who was part of O.J. Simpson’s 1995 legal team, blasted the allegations calling them “totally false and made up” and said that he never even met the accuser.

Dershowitz’s wife of 30 years, Carolyn, also slammed the ‘sex slave’ claims.

“Anyone that knows us would find it laughable, if it weren't so serious,” she told Inside Edition. “He is the least likely person in the entire world that this would be true of.”

Roberts, named in court papers as Jane Doe #3, said that she was forced to have sex with the men while allegedly under control of financier and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

Some media outlets have reported that she is writing a “tell-all memoir” that could be published later this year.
