Kim Kardashian posts video of 12-year-old Kanye West making speech about Martin Luther King (Video)

Kanye West has always been passionate, as evidenced by a video that has surfaced featuring a 12-year-old West delivering a speech about civil rights leader Martin Luther King at his middle school in Chicago.

West’s wife, Kim Kardashian, posted the video the day after MLK Day, writing, “I wish I posted this yesterday!”

The Yeezus rapper hits the podium and proudly states, "My name is Kanye West.”

"A man who fought for freedom / A man who fought for equality / Those who were against him / Were too blind to see / What this man was fighting for / So Blacks, Hispanics, Jews and Asians could put their foot in the door,” he said. “Yes, we know that this man is great / That's why today we celebrate / Everyone lifts their voice and sing / For a man who wanted freedom to ring / Martin Luther King is who I'm speaking of / A man whose name means love."

The video was posted in 2012 but Kardashian wanted everyone to see it. “How cute is my baby!!!!!!!” she wrote.

West is one of the most outspoken artists in the music industry, often making headlines for his “rants” onstage.

In 2013, he told Jimmy Kimmel he knows he’s a genius.

“I'm totally weird. I'm totally honest and I'm totally inappropriate sometimes,” he said. “For me to say I wasn't a genius -- I would just be lying to you and to myself.”
