Liam Hemsworth talks throwing knives with his brothers and making a positive change

Liam Hemsworth is one of Hollywoods biggest actors but the Australian remains down-to-earth because of his childhood and donating his time to charity.

Hemsworth, who stars in The Hunger Games movies, opened up to Esquire Middle East about growing up with his brothers on Phillip Island, Australia, his successful movie career, and the positive changes that he wants to make in the world. "We used to fight all the time," he says of growing up with his brothers. "In the summer holidays we'd live in board shorts and we had a throwing knife, so we'd play this game where you'd have to stand about two meters away from each other and take it in turns to throw it as close to the person's foot and stick it into the ground," Hemsworth told the magazine according to E! News. Liam is the youngest of three boys. His older brothers, Chris and Luke Hemsworth are both actors. He added, "It was really dangerous. I mean, it was kind of blunt, but it would still hurt a lot if it hit you."

Besides acting and playing dangerous games with his brothers, the 24-year-old actor still finds time to fulfill his passion for charity work. He is currently an ambassador for the Australian Childhood Foundation. "The world is scary enough; kids deserve to feel comfortable and, you know, it's just about paving the path for a more positive future and bringing up kids with morals and a good education," he said.

After starring in the hit movies The Last Song and The Hunger Games, Hemsworth started receiving a lot of media attention and plans on using it in a positive way. "When you're in my position you have a responsibility to do things. People are influenced by your words and I wanna have a positive effect on people and contribute to a more positive future," he said to the magazine.
