Marshawn Lynch calls out the media

Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch called out the media during a Super Bowl press conference today.

Lynch, who has been fined by the NFL several times for not speaking with the media, aired his grievances to the media members in attendance according to USA Today.

“You all shove cameras and microphones down my throat,” Lynch said. “I ain’t got nothing for you all. . . You all will sit here doing the same thing. I’m here preparing for a game.”

Lynch had been telling reporters that he was just attending the Super Bowl media days so the NFL wouldn't fine him and answered all questions the previous day with, "You know why I'm here."

Lynch added that part of the reason he doesn't like speaking with the media is because of how his image is viewed and portrayed.

"But it don’t matter what y’all think, what y’all say about me, cause when I go home at night, the same people that I look in the face, my family, that I love, that’s all I really matters to me." Lynch said.

The LA Times reports that Lynch could still face a fine from the NFL for wearing an unauthorized "Beast Mode" hat at the press conference.

Lynch and the Seattle Seahawks are currently preparing to face the New England Patriots in the Super Bowl on Feb. 1.
