Sam Morrow releases an emotional and power album 'Ephemeral'

Sam Morrow has released an emotional, haunting and beautiful album, Ephemeral. Morrow pulls from his older, Americana influences to create an album that only has a clear tone and direction but captures an energy and vibe that is currently lacking in the music industry. Ephemeral feels personal, honest and like a window into who Morrow is.

Morrow was first noticed back in 2013 when he posted a cover of Gary Clark Jr.'s "Bright Lights." The cover showcased the unique vocal range and musical skills that Morrow had. In this cover he showed off his grit and ability to have his own musical sound translate into something that feels new and modern while being rooted in such musical standards of the past that it comes off as a perfect music mashup from the past and the future.

Morrow took that energy that fans saw in 2013 and put it into Ephemeral. The album opens with "War." The song is subtle and really showcases the vocal range and storytelling ability that Morrow has. It's effortless with his guitar which frames such haunting and emotional vocals that linger on throughout the song and are echoed throughout the album.

The album features influences like that of Johnny Cash or Ray Charles mixed with modern artists like Ron Pope and Bon Iver but in the end it is clear that Morrow captured these influences but added in his own strong, original sound. Morrow has found that unique musical sound and isn't straying away from that, only highlighting it song and after song on Ephemeral.

Stand out tracks on the album include, "Forever," "Gone" and "December." Without a doubt Morrow is a musician to watch in the industry as he continues to grow his music and elaborate on his incredible musical vision.
