Tim McGraw to perform song from Glen Campbell documentary at Oscars

Country music will be arriving at the 87th Academy Awards in the form of Tim McGraw. McGraw will be performing "I'm Not Gonna Miss You" for Glen Campbell.

The song was written by Campbell and Julia Raymond for the documentary, Glen Campbell...I'll Be Me,CBS News reported.

Oscar producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron explained why they thought McGraw was the perfect choice to perform at this years ceremony. "We couldn't think of anyone better than Tim McGraw to properly celebrate Oscar nominee, Glen Campbell. Tim is the consummate country artist and will bring a bit of Nashville to the Oscars stage," said Zadan and Meron.

"I'm Not Gonna Miss You" is nominated for Best Original Song along with Everything is Awesome" from The Lego Movie, along with "Glory" from Selma, "Grateful" from Beyond the Lights and "Lost Stars" from Begin Again.

The Oscars which will be taking place on Sunday, Feb. 22 will be hosted by Neil Patrick Harris.
